Innocence

Innocence can be used to indicate any wrongdoing or acts of sin.

Children are typically known to symbolise innocence and a heart of purity.

In both books, 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'Death of a Salesman', one of the main characters are children or possess a child-like personality. Both do not understand the reality of the outside of the small house they live in.

Their innocence affects what they perceive in the real world and also what they believe.

Throughout the books we are shown innocence in a variety of ways portrayed through different characters, personality and imagery.
